but being that you already tried installing XP then you already messed up win7 anyways(if you did not make the restore disks), your better off just deleting and redoing XP. The only USB devices it takes now seem to be things that were already installed long ago like one of my USB flash drives, my mouse, my camera, and my printer. If you think Windows skipped installing something, you need to check if any drivers need to be installed. It’s a form you submit straight to us with all the good details. After that Dell said that I needed to reinstall Windows but I'm sure there must be some other way to fix this problem. The windows update should identify the components and provide updated drivers.
