I had shared settings with my laptop that used a printer that would did not update properly but never used it on my desktop. Then click Next to proceed and follow the instructions provided by the troubleshooter to hide the problematic driver or update. Then I went back to discrete and I downloaded a beta driver. i have no idea where i found the solution but it has been the only thing that works and people should know about it!
Once you have formatted and reinstalled the OS, first download GeForce Experience from Nvidia and let that determine the drivers for you, then install them. Do a clean installation too.
