Really, I must have tried OVER a dozen different combinations of audio drivers / versions, etc. If your windows sound works fine and if you won't be using HDMI to hook ur laptop up to an HDTV, it's safe to Disable this device. Plus the Drivers to use a USB Bluetooth with this Unit in XP. Be ABSOLUTELY sure to install the Microsoft Windows Update / Fix kb888111 (folder z05) BEFORE installing the other audio (& modem) drivers. 2nd: Do the "Upgrade Driver" method for the "ATI Where can i find that driver? Wouldn't ya know it everything yes I said EVERYTHING in the device manager is 100% known and working! Please help me find the drivers.

  • Also GPUZ and PC Wizard 2008 say that my chipset is the RS690M, But wikipedia says that the RS690M would have the Radeon X1250 but my Laptop says it's the Radeon

But all the rest seems to work (got ATI drivers from AMD's website, the Wifi from Realtek's site, and all the rest from the maker's site(s) or from the Gateway "Vista-only" In the end I got my friends system working 100% inside of XP Device Manager. This has driven me to want to build my own HTPC so I can continue to watch my favorite shows in hi-def.
